Honky tonk 31 W by 35 T $400
Based on the country and western music of Tobey Keith, this piece uses a background of modified log cabins constructed of corduroy and cottons overlaid with a figure of a cowboy cut from denim. The central corduroy squares feature a screen print of a Ford truck (mine, of course) A larger piece suitable for a bunk bed in the same theme is also available.
Stars in Heaven 24 W by 19 T $75
Day by Day 47 w by 47 T $600
The background of this piece is called StairSteps to Heaven, my grandmother's favorite quilt pattern. This was a study piece for ' When the Saints (go Marching in)', featured in the Figurative Gallery
Inspired by the musical Godspell, this piece features machine embroidered tic' marks digitized from a scanned drawing of a traditional method of marking time. The multiple layers represent the repeats of the song and the repeats of our daily lives seen as small things in our life or as major events
Background photo from National Cemetery pavement in Columbus, Ohio June 2007
